after a couple of weeks of craziness and only few moments each night to work on the one thousand wishes project, i am so excited to finally be able to announce the total amount raised for the red cross japan earthquake and tsunami relief fund :: $1249.10! {after paypal fees and shop subscription fees} i am incredibly happy that we surpassed the goal of one thousand dollars :: one thousand wishes and so grateful for all of the support the project has received! thank you, thank you, thank you! and can i just say what a wonderful moment it was to finally hit that 'donate' button?

i know this donation is a 'small drop in the ocean' when compared to what japan will need to rebuild + recover from this heartbreaking disaster. but it is a bigger 'drop' than i, and many other people, would have been able to donate individually. it really is the togetherness that makes the difference. have you seen this beautiful mini quilt made by leslie, using the quote above? so fantastic! and so very fitting...
