i was looking through the newspaper on saturday and was pleasantly surprised to find this lovely photo of my cousin-in-law, linda ohama, who has been busy organizing the ganbare! concert to be held tomorrow at the queen elizabeth theatre, vancouver, bc. she has also come up with the kids for kids: japan-canada youth quilt project, a lovely way to show the children of japan just how many people all over the world care about them and are thinking of them during these difficult times. i so wish we lived closer to vancouver so we could attend the concert ourselves! if you live in vancouver and would like to purchase tickets, they are for sale here. and if you and your children live in canada and would like to participate in the quilt project, please email me and i will forward you the information.
